FAQs
All once the first time went to the mountains. And even among the most presumptuous tourists and climbers, also once had a first exit. Very often there are beginners on our trips. The main thing is not to be afraid! When we go along the route, the instructor carefully watches the group. If necessary, we can go twice as slow, and do halts more often. Where you need to prompt and correct. The main thing is your health. From experience, I can say that usually adaptation to the conditions occurs on the second, third day of the trip - the fatigue gradually passes and it becomes much easier to go.
Almost everyone is coming, and already in the process of the campaign we get to know each other. What I love hiking for is a bunch of new friends and acquaintances after each of them. The number of participants in groups is usually from 3 to 15 people. The age composition, as a rule, does not matter much. From experience, I can say that most tourists are people from 20 to 45 years old, sometimes, of course, there are older people, although they run in the mountains better than young people, sometimes you just wonder how it is! it all depends on your desire and mood! The vast majority are people of mental labor, all who need to reboot in a good company of good people. After all, as a rule, there are no bad people on campaigns !!
If you arrive a day earlier, the best thing is to rent a hotel room and take a walk around the city. If your train arrives late in the evening, and our trip to the mountains starts in the morning, then the most reasonable is to take tickets and arrive a day earlier, because it will be almost impossible to catch up with a group in the mountains, except for a couple of three routes.
As a rule, it is advisable to do this in advance, so that we can figure out the amount of equipment if it is needed for hire and the amount of food. Well, in addition, do not forget about tickets, remember that on the same May holidays and on New Year's, tickets for trains are bought up almost immediately as soon as they go on sale.
It’s probably better not to take very young children anyway, except to go with them on an individual program. I took the children of 7 years old - it was just such an individual trip , where we completely adapted to the little travelers. On the whole, in the general group, 8 year old children walked with us in an adult campaign. Approximately such an age, that is, a child from 8 years old, there is a reason to take with him to general groups. In general, it must be added that children easily endure all kinds of hiking difficulties. As practice shows, if a child is capricious, then it will definitely not be easy for him and his parents, in fact, as in ordinary city life, but if he is interested and he takes part in the adventure all the time, then such children do not cause problems at all.
Well, I’ll also add that it makes no sense to take children under 6 years old with them to the adult group, they simply will not chase after us. Especially for the smallest, we have a route with children "Young Tourist ", designed for parents with children.
Without fail twice a day - in the morning and in the evening, we cook hot food - soups and cereals at the stake, or if there is none, and this happens somewhere on the alpine, then on gas. We have a snack at lunch - depending on the conditions and time, it can be either with a fire or without a fire. Usually, duty officers are responsible for cooking on the hike, and the instructor looks after the process. Firewood is collected by the whole group. The attendants are directly engaged in the kitchen. Every day attendants are replaced.
Our routes are all divided into conditional categories of difficulty and if you do not take the Fan Mountains, which climb Energy or Elbrus from the North, most of them are designed for ordinary people. It is clear that the load will be decent, but in moderation. If you are not confident in your abilities, it is best to consult with us, we will definitely pick you the route by force. Some may force themselves to run a couple of weeks before the start, in order to slightly bring their physical condition and endurance into condition. I already wrote, but once again I will say that the first couple of days will be the hardest - your body may be slightly surprised by the new loads, so a crash tour will quite naturally appear. But, from experience, on the third or fourth day, you stop noticing the backpack behind your back, the body is completely drawn into the traveling rhythm and you begin to enjoy the process.
The weight of the backpack is formed in two parts: your belongings and catering and equipment. A normal backpack weighs usually in the region of 10 - 17 kilograms for women and 12 - 22 kilograms for men, it all depends on your equipment and personal items that you take with you (the spread is so big, because, for example, for the summer Crimea, personal items you need nothing at all, while you need to warm yourself very seriously during a winter hike to the same Crimea). Out of these kilograms of public equipment (kilograms) there will be three to four kilograms for girls on the first day of the trip, and 5-7 kilograms for men, depending on the route. Don’t worry, it’s not so much! Well, then, every day, the backpack will only become lighter and lighter.
We have a lot of different articles on the website on the subject of equipment, laid out in a special section. Of the special you need to have a backpack, rug, sleeping bag and tent (all this can be rented if you don’t have your own, but it is better to have your own equipment, of course). After each route, we have in additions a link to the manners such as “ what to take with you on a trip ”, depending on the route and season, the equipment will also be different.
Be sure to indicate this moment in correspondence or write when filling out an application so that we can adjust the layout and notify the instructor. As a rule, the easiest way is to take a portion of evening porridge for yourself until the moment when the stew is laid there.
The connection in places is very good, as a rule, on the peaks and ridges there is no problem with this, and in places in the valleys and on the sidelines, respectively, there is none. Therefore, please warn your relatives that sometimes you will not be in touch so that they do not worry again. I’ll also add that it’s usually nowhere to charge equipment if it doesn’t pass through settlements, because there are no outlets in the forest (about the possibility of access to electricity, read the descriptions of specific routes). Therefore, it makes sense to take a power bank with you, recently, they are taken by many, a very relevant thing.
To be honest, not really. We did not come here to thump, in the end. Where is the thread at the exit to the sea no one forbids you to drink beer, or a glass of wine, overlooking the local surf, but do not try especially hard.
The probability of this is extremely small, for our part we are very keen to reduce it to zero. But still, it may happen that you went off to photograph another interesting stone on a forest path, the trailing one did not see you, and suddenly you realize that the group has gone ahead.
First things first - you need to drive the panic to wherever you go, we now absolutely do not need it. Then we try to shout to anyone from the group, we can and should scream as if you saw a bear in front of you. If it doesn’t help, and there is a connection in your area, call. If there is no connection, do not panic. Now we need panic even less. We stay in place. We are not going to look for a group. We sit and wait when they find us. We are waiting on the very path where you just separated from the group. About every thirty minutes, the instructor makes a halt, while counting people. Therefore, please, do not try to take the shorter obvious path or cut through the forest when you hear the rumble of a river somewhere below - it may not be the one we need, and moreover, not the fact that you can go along the river. Sit and wait on the trail until they find you !!!
